We'd like to welcome our newest addition to the Distribution Network, Soxy Music in St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. THese guys will be opening their doors in June 2010 and we are very happy to be working with them and wish them great success !

Joe Bonamassa just received a really cool bright red EL34 powered 100W JB100C combo. This amp will be used for sit ins, radio and TV shows. He has already named it 'Morgan' after the British hand built sport car, partially inspired by the fact that this amp has it's controls the opposite way around to the rest of his CA's.

Guitar virtuoso Johnny A has been using a variety of CA amps over the past couple of months for his full band blues-rock shows with members from Boston and Aerosmith. We are currently designing a specific custom amp for Johnny. You can check him out here.

The Tucana is currently undergoing an update to include an additional footswitchable master than can be used on either of the overdrive channels. All new Tucanas will be built to this specification. The new model is the Tucana II. Current Tucana owners can have their amps upgraded to this new specification. Please contact us here.

The OD2r is now available new with an efx loop options. Please specify this option when you order the model from one of our Dealers. While it is possible to upgrade current OD2r models to this specification, the procedure is complex and time consuming. However, if you are interested in this upgrade to a current OD2r, please contact us here.

We are currently in final prototyping stage for a brand new 3 channel preamp model with features such as MIDI switching. This project is being done in conjunction with our California Dealer, Tone Merchants, who have specific expertise in the design and integration of professional rack systems. This model will only be available through Tone Merchants.

A new batch of Amplifiers and Cabs has just shipped to our distributor in Europe, 440Hz. Pleae contact Andrea for further information on these.

"Alan's amps have a very unique tone. They are smooth (when called upon), growly and very articulate. A combination I have never experienced before. The midrange is very expressive and reminds me a lot of a human voice. I have two and have ordered a third. I buy them because I like them, pretty simple. They can take a lot of punishment. (Run really hard for 2 hours, then loaded into a case and on to the next city, 200 nights a year) I highly recommend these amps for anybody who's into improving their live or studio rig. Plus he is a nice guy.... and not afraid of 100 watts!!! Rare these days! "

I'd like to welcome you to our website. My name is Alan Phillips and I am the owner of Carol-Ann Custom Amplifiers, LLC. a full time, full service custom boutique tube amplifier builder located in North Andover, MA, on Boston's North Shore.

Our all hand built PTP amplifiers are made using the finest materials and components available. In a relatively short period of time these amplifiers have been discovered and are used by some of the most discerning and respected guitar players on the planet.

Each amplifier is built with passion with the end goal always being consistently stunning tone and the utmost reliability.
