So we have a cool new player on board that I built a custom 60W amp for. Please welcome Steve Decanay from the band #BuckCherry. Before anyone asks me what the amp is, it's based on Tucana 3/Triptik functionality, but uses 6L6's in a 60W setup. The OD channel is kind of similar to the 10th Anniversary, the clean channel is a lot like the classic JB100/6 clean channel. Features bias monitor, switchable loop and midi control. Stevie loves the amp and wants to do a limited run of 5 of them at some point later this year. He is good friends with the owner of Make'n Music in Chicago and asked if we could sell them through Teddy. That's totally cool as Make'n Music are already a Dealer of ours.
We'd like to welcome Marks Guitar Loft on board. He will serve as my right hand man for local Sales. I've been friends Mark for 10 years and we have worked together on several projects in the past. He is well known in the vintage guitar and amp circles. We've talked about him being on board for years and finally got around to making it happen.
Just added the Satin model to the website, the first 3 of these amps have shipped to Austin Guitar House, The Amp House and Humbucker Music in the US.
Peach Guitar in the UK will receive one in a couple of weeks.
I recently met with Joe Bonamassa and he said I should make available a very limited edition run of JB100 amplifiers based on his "red" amp. This amp was used for touring in the 2009 - 2011 time frame, but more importantly it was used for many recordings during the "Ballad of John Henry" recording sessions. It was mainly used as a lead solo amplifier, but was also used for several rhythm parts, including the "baritone" parts on the title track. A while ago someone asked on Joe's forum what amplifier he used for the overdriven solo parts in the tune "Stop" and he answered the Red JB-100. This amplifier differs from the other JB-100's that Joe owns as it was designed specifically for lead playing and recording. It is a 100W EL34 variant as opposed to 6L6's in all the other JB-100's.
This variant of the JB100 is covered in distinct red levant tolex and no other color options are available. It features 2 channels, mid boost, efx loop and 100W of power. Apart from this amplifier being capable as a stadium level monster, it can be used extremely well at lower volumes and also responds well to attenuators for players who want to push the power amp at lower volumes. Joe actually used a Palmer model with it.
There is a very limited number of these amplifiers going to Dealers. Only 5 in the USA and 1 in the UK. Please contact the Dealers directly to reserve yours!

I'm meeting with Joe Bonamassa tomorrow (at his request) to discuss doing a very very limited run of the infamous Red JB100 used almost exclusively on the 'Ballad of John Henry' album, including the infamous 'Stop' solo. Thse amps are a little different from the normal JB100 and in my opinion probably the single best sounding amplifier I have ever built. I will be using the original to ensure they are perfect....More details will follow........
