The Tucana is an incredibly flexible 2 + 1 Channel amp. What does 2 + 1 mean ? Well it's got a clean channel, an OD channel and extra OD gain boost with separate master volume.

Tonally these amps are like an OD-2 on steroids. The tonal palette is certainly the widest of any of our amps. With the boost channel, they can stray into gain levels only heard on the 'Hot' version of the OD-2, yet still retain full note definition and separation even with complex chord passages at high gain levels.

The power amp section runs the 6550s at a moderate 75W ensuring very long tube life. The transformer set has been designed to retain a ton of warmth, coupled with slightly less filtering than the OD-2, makes this amp very easy to play with a softer percussive feel to note attack.

The Tucana is very forgiving on cabinet choice and works well with many speaker / cab combinations

Features

Shift Switch: Changes the Range and action of the Bass Middle and Treble controls on the clean channel. In the up position it is very percussive and a little more gainy. In the down position it is more Fenderish.

Pre-Gain: This sets the overall input gain for the amp. This affects both channels.

CH A Bass, Middle & Treble: Clean Channel Tone Controls.

CH B Bass, Middle & Treble: OD Channel Tone Controls.

Gain: Overdrive channel gain control.

CH A Master: Master Volume for Clean Channel.

CH B Master 1: Master Volume for OD Channel.

CH B Master 2: Master Volume for Gain Boost.
